BullEx Digital Safety Launches I.T.S. Xtreme
Albany, NY, January 9, 2008 - BullEx Digital Safety today announced the launch of I.T.S. Xtreme™, a live fire extinguisher training simulator for use by fire departments, emergency responders, companies and other organizations. The new product is making its debut at Fire Rescue East in Jacksonville, Fla. from Jan. 25 to 26, booth numbers 509 and 2000.
The I.T.S. Xtreme is a prop-enabled live-fire training system, which challenges trainees with three available stainless steel props: Class A (rubbish bin), Class B (stovetop) and Class C (motor). These stainless steel training props create realistic flame patterns that respond directly to the trainee’s actions with the air/water training extinguisher. Users need to demonstrate the proper technique based on the class of fire they are fighting to successfully extinguish the flames.
I.T.S. Xtreme produces a controllable, variable flame, allowing users to learn how to effectively operate a fire extinguisher without the cost and clean up associated with traditional dry-chemical or CO2 extinguishers. BullEx’s air/water SmartExtinguisher™ is comparable in size, shape and weight to standard extinguishers to more realistically mimic real-life situations.
“Fire extinguisher training is a vital component of any organization’s overall approach to safety, be it a fire department or manufacturing operation,” said Ryan O’Donnell, BullEx’s Chief Executive Officer. “With I.T.S. Xtreme, organizations can significantly reduce training costs while simultaneously improving trainee proficiency in putting out a variety of fires.”
Features of the I.T.S. Xtreme include:
- Enhanced flame: The training system generates larger, more intense flames.
- Flare-up feature: Trainers can utilize a flare-up button to reignite the flames at any time, further challenging trainees.
- Prop enabled: Three different stainless steel props – a rubbish bin, stove top and motor – are available to simulate different fire scenarios.
