BullEx Launches Fire Safety Trailers

Albany, NY, April 10, 2008 - BullEx Digital Safety today announced the launch of Fire Safety Trailers and unveiled a mobile trailer for use in on-site emergency response training programs. This new BullEx technology is a full scale, interactive training center that tests an individual’s ability to respond in an emergency. Trainees ranging from firefighters to the general public are presented with an emergency scenario involving smoke, heat, digital fire, and arc flash, and must take the correct actions to resolve the emergency.

The scenarios presented at the unveiling include an industrial fire emergency scenario and a kitchen fire scenario. The industrial fire scenario is set in an elevator mechanical room. The trainee is presented with an arcing electrical motor, which ignites the surrounding walls and creates a hot, smoky fire. Trainees must pull the fire alarm, shut-down the power to the faulty motor with a power-disconnect and then fight the fire with a laser-driven training extinguisher. Infrared heaters, smoke, sound effects, and BullEx’s digital fire panels create a realistic, yet completely safe training environment.

The kitchen fire scenario begins as an oven fire spreads to pots and pans on top of the stove. If left unchecked, the fire spreads to the adjacent cabinets and the rubbish bin next to the stove. Trainees must call 911, use a laser-driven training extinguisher to attempt to put out the stove-top fire and shut off the power to the stove to successfully navigate the scenario.

If the trainees fail to take the proper action in any scenario, the fire, heat and smoke will continue to grow, forcing the trainee to evacuate.

“The goal of this new technology is to enable intense and realistic emergency response training that is completely safe,” said Ryan O’Donnell, BullEx’s Chief Executive Officer. “This scenario based training closely mimics a real-life fire emergency, allowing for improved physical and emotional response training.”

The company unveiled its newest product at FDIC 2008, held from April 7 through 12 in Indianapolis, IN. The annual event attracts more than 28,000 firefighters. Each day, BullEx will open the trailer to show attendees, allowing them to be among the first to experience the new, state-of-the-art Fire Safety Trailer.

BullEx anticipates providing Fire Safety Trailers to corporations, universities, hospitals, fire departments, government agencies and other organizations requiring a high level of emergency preparedness. Thousands of these organizations are already using BullEx simulators, which include the Intelligent Training System™ (ITS), ITS Xtreme™, HotShot® and BullsEye™.
